Gloria Gaynor
Gloria Gaynor was the first diva of the Disco era, even before DONNA SUMMER.

Her career started in the earlies 70's.She sang versions of classics like "Honey Bee",
but it was in 1974 that Gloria succeeded with "Never can say goodbye".

This song had already been a hit for The Jackson 5, just four years before,
but Gloria's galloping treatment made many people dance!

Now we're in 1978.

This year Gloria Gaynor became imortal because of Fekaris and Perren's "I Will Survive".

It's one of the best disco songs. It's perfect, from the initial piano strings till the end, and gloria's voice shows all the melodrama of someone who was left behind.
This song was sampled and re-recorded several times, and it was part of the soundtrack of "Priscilla: Queen of desert", in 1994.

In the 80's Gloria is on the charts once again with the song "I am what I am".Gloria is perfect, and the song shows that disco will be alive to the eternity.

In 1995, Gloria wrote a book called "Full Gaynor",where she explained how she got rid from the drugs, and how she dealt with fame.
On a interview, she talked about the videoclip of "I will survive".

She just hates that! "It's horrible: A beautiful gril ice-skating while I'm singing, with all my fat!"
